I had an excess of avocados this week (I know, how does that even happen?) plus I found some super-duper juicy mango on sale at my grocery store, so you know I had to make some juicy, tangy, very more-ish Chunky Mango Guacamole! This stuff is oh so good that I ate the entire dish myself (and it serves four). Fresh, juicy mango, creamy avocado, juicy garden tomatoes, a hint of tang from the lime juice and zest, a pinch of salt to bring out the flavours, plus a sprinkling of chopped cilantro…this is fresh summer on a spoon! Or chip. Or veggie stick. Or whatever vehicle you use to get this in your belleh!
But…is it really guac? Or is it a salsa? This is the question my sister asked me when she saw the photo. And it’s a good point! It’s chunky like a salsa, but it has avocado, so…it’s guacamole? Maybe it’s guac-salsa? Salsa-guac? Whatever you call it, you can call it tasty! It’s fresh, it’s tangy, it’s basically an unconventional fruit salad! I mean avocados and tomatoes are technically fruit, and mango is clearly a fruit, so you can eat this Chunky Mango Guac for breakfast, and call it fruit salad! Tasssteee!
Let’s get guac-ing!
Chunky Mango Guacamole

I once made a similar dish for a guacamole contest my friends and I called ‘Guac-Fest’. We all made various guacamoles and had a taste off, with the winner claiming the guac-crown for the year. Another year I made a chocolate avocado guac, but honestly, this mango guac is the bomb-diggitty. It’s just so freaking tasty and fresh and light and delicious! You don’t feel stuffed and heavy after eating this, and you know you’re eating all-natural and preservative-free food that is good for your body.
If you want a summery dish to celebrate the fresh produce available now, or if you want to feel like you’re partying down south instead of quarantined at home, this fresh n’ fruity Chunky Mango Guacamole is the quickest of sweet yet tangy dishes to whip up. I recommend that you make a double-batch, because when others realize how fresh, tasty, and healthy it is, it’ll be gone in a double-flash!

Hi Margie! Thanks so much for checking in! I’m ok, but…pregnant! Very happy to be pregnant but not a fan of the severe morning sickness. I expect to get back to my normal routine shortly. I miss posting at Brandy’s blog, but have faithfully read everyone’s posts!
